Got together we a few of my favourite other photographers this week to visit the Vanity Fair exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. What a fantastic display of work and great to review the pictures with other people who are interested in the same subject (hope hubby isn't reading this!) Afterwards we grabbed lunch and then took a few pics of each other in the streets. Here's my favourite one of Stewart Randall trying to look all mean and moody ;-)
Managed to grab a few shots of my daughter - it turned out to be rather an expensive shoot after she got very enthusiastic about bouncing on the bed and snapped a couple of the wooden slats. I couldn't moan as it was my idea in the first place - must remember not to ask clients to do that !
The business is now closed until 2nd January 2008. A huge thank you to all my family, friends, clients and fellow photographers for their wonderful support throughout 2007. May you all have a very merry Christmas and a peaceful new year.
We have two new additions to the family and they are complete time wasters - they have scratched my chairs, climbed my curtains and will spend hours chasing their own tails but they are TOTALLY ADORABLE!
Okay, here's the question - how do you know that your daughter is growing up? Is it when she brings you a plate of beautiful cakes that she has made all by herself without burning the kitchen down? Is it when she clears her room (without asking!) of all her "baby" toys? Is it when she comes home from the shops with an eyeliner pencil (aghh!!!) All this has happened over the past few days - my baby is growing up!
Have just got back from a wonderful birthday weekend spent on a canal boat. The scenery was amazing - when the sun shines (not often!), this country must be one of the most beautiful places on earth, especially first thing in the morning when the mist is on the water. The kids had a great time fishing and learning how to operate the locks and enjoyed it even more when we had chocolate birthday cake for breakfast and tea (!!!)
We can't take Grandad anywhere - he encourages bad behaviour :-)

Just back from Athens where I spent a week reading books that didn't have anything to do with photography - much to the amazement of my family:-) Managed to do a bit of site seeing in the city but I think everyone else had the same idea!
However, once we got away from all that we had time to chill out and watch the sun go down...
spend time with dad...
and catch fish...
Yesterday was spent watching the cricket - England v Bangladesh. I can honestly say I have never been so hot in all my life after sitting in the sun for 7 hours! This was the first time I've ever watched a match live and probably the last, as I have to admit that it's not the most exciting of sports. However, the atmosphere was totally amazing with a great crowd partying from start to finish. I imagine there will be a few sore heads this morning :)
Dressing up is so much fun - why be a cricketer when you can be a cowboy :)
Went out on a mini road trip around the island ending up at a fantastic restaurant on the west coast called the Fish Pot, which I would highly recommend. A big thank you to the guy who rescued us from going round and round in circles in the middle of the island - map reading was never my strong point. Only two pics to add - have you ever tried taking pictures hanging out the back of a jeep at 30mph?
Spending the Easter holidays in Barbados - such a beautiful, friendly island! Spending lots of time with friends and family, eating, drinking and soaking up the sunshine. It's very hard to get off the sunbeds and spend time taking pictures, which is what I intended to do, but here are a few that I've got so far....
This was a stunning cove on the Atlantic side of the island, just right for the kids to learn to surf.
You know that feeling when you've escaped from the office/school for a while... :)
This Portuguese man-of-war jelly fish certainly kept me out of the water for a while!
