A mother's memories

I read an article today by Cathryn Jakobson Ramin regarding having a bad memory. I felt quite moved by the way she wrote about her son as he lay folded in her lap on the beach and it made me think about my own son and how I love that my photography as enabled me to keep those moments forever...

"Consciously I made a memory - his streaked and salty hair, the colour and warmth of his skin. The moment is mine for ever - but only because I took time to secure it."

Out in the park with this little one. I just love his hat!! Big thanks to his mum who warmed my hands with a hot cup of tea afterwards :-)

Marc & Debbie

Yesterday was spent being "second camera" to my friend and fellow photographer Charlie Johnson at Marc & Debbie's wedding. I love this sort of job as I get to hide away and capture all those special moments. Here are just a few of the pics that I loved the most but I could go on forever. It was the most beautiful day and held in the lovely setting of Buxted Park in Sussex...




Debbie had her Grandmother's wedding ring attached to her dress...

Out with a client this morning and managed to get some lovely shots before all the bad weather set in. It's so great to get out and about and do a shoot in different locations and although I thought I knew the area well, it was wonderful to discover new places hidden away...

I was doing some commercial work this week for Heart & Soul in Lindfield, West Sussex, which sells the most gorgeous clothes for children as well as lots of other scrummy things for your little ones. I will blog some more later but for now, check out these PJ's and the little guy who's wearing them - they are both just adorable!!
